Quantum Business Group’s vision is strengthened by the words of the Israeli president at the second annual Israeli Presidential Conference runs October 20th-22nd at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem.

The president of Israel, Mr. Shimon Peres affixes in the state of Israel as a leading technology innovator in global public opinion.

In the presence of various personages from around the world, the Israeli prime minister, the president of Croatia, the president of Macedonia, the Envoy of the Quartet on the Middle East – Mr. Tony Blair, the American UN ambassador, the High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy  of the European Union – Mr. Javier Solana, the deputy premier of Croatia, the deputy premier of Macedonia, the Canadian foreign minister, the Kazakhstan minister of the Environment, the French Secretary of State to the ministry of Economy, Industry and Employment, in charge of Foreign Commerce, the mayor of Jerusalem other mayors from around the world, and noble prize recipients Mr. Peres claimed:

“Science is a fascinating journey in a carriage that is not interrupted by prejudice, and does not stop at the unknown.

The scientific era began in the previous century. And now, it enters a new remarkable phase, to an era aiming at our most amazing, mysterious, and promising machine in the world – the human brain.

Our dialogue with ourselves, i.e. with our brain, is an breathtaking adventure that may change orders that exist from time immemorial. This will come to be expressed in this Conference.

This is a journey that encourages innovation in five basic necessary industries, will be the required foundations, to correct historical errors and open unlimited opportunities  that are encompassed in the new tomorrow.

The fact that Israel is a small state, with limited resources, does not prevent it from assuming the role of an innovative global laboratory in these realms.

The first realm is the clean energy industry. Exaggerated oil prices have unjustly forced the poor to be poor, and have spoiled the rich. Oil has created social differences that have damaged the global social equilibrium, and is yet to be rectified.

Oil is also a global contaminator. The Clean-tech effort in Israel is an attempt to generate an alternative to the pollution and the discrimination that comes with the price of oil.

There are already promising results, claiming global appraisal and recognition.

The Israel Geo Thermal and Thermo Solar industry is building and maintaining clean energy plants in Israel and around the world. And in the beginning of next year, electric vehicles that we have initiated here will be launched, that are considered a revolution in the clean transportation industry, and will allow our car fleet to enter the field of clean propulsion.

This is an immense revolution in a small state that is a pilot planet for the wider world.

Solar energy and clean transportation will characterize our contribution in the Copenhagen climate conference.

The next realm is the global water industry. Water shortage is killing babies, denying epidemic cure and slowing the growth in food manufacture. Over the existential water shortage, Israel is compensating in High-tech.

Israel will build a new Kinneret, from water taken from the Mediterranean Sea. By 2015, 100% of the private water consumption will be of desalinated water. 75% of the water in Israel will be recycled. Israel works towards reducing costs of implementation and maintaining desalination plants via nano-technology and continues in water conservation irrigation policy. To date we have up to 70% of the accepted water consumption per land unit. With the assistance of genetic engineering of seeds – a quarter acre in Israel bears almost 30 times the produce than in most other places in the world.

We can desalinate water. We can duplicate water. And water can be transported without evaporation or leaks.”

We, at Quantum Business Group strongly believe in the president’s vision and in his power to turn this vision into a reality. To empower his statements, we bring to you in our first newsletter a series of Israeli successes and investments made in the Israeli market.
